Technology at Verona Dental Arts
Our practice uses KODAK intraoral cameras, which allow you to see a close up video feed of your mouth! This handy tool lets Dr. Scurti point out areas along your teeth and gums that may require closer attention and possibly treatment. If you’re unsure about undergoing with a procedure, ask a team member of Verona Dental Arts to use the intraoral camera to pinpoint the problem for you.
We take images of our patients’ mouths by using advanced digital X-rays rather than settling for the traditional techniques. This preserves the health of those in our care because our patients are exposed to 90% less radiation with this equipment.
For a comprehensive view of your mouth, Dr. Scurti will use a panoramic camera to capture the image of your rows of teeth in their entirety. Taking a panoramic view can show the Verona Dental Arts staff problems that may go unnoticed in separate X-ray pictures.
The growing rates of cancer are very alarming to healthcare professionals and the general population. That’s why Dr. Scurti has opted to use the ViziLite Plus technology during examinations. This light can identify abnormally growing cells in the mouth and soft tissues, which are often a warning sign for oral cancer.
Are you afraid of experiencing a dental procedure? If you have had a treatment in the past from a different practice that was very painful, it’s no wonder why you may be hesitant to receive the care that your teeth need. However, Verona Dental Arts has a relatively new system called The Wand that may change the way you look at dentistry. With this equipment, it’s now possible to administer doses of anesthetic without human error getting in the way.
The Myotronics tool at Verona Dental Arts proves to be invaluable when treating neuromuscular dentistry patients. This technology assists Dr. Scurti as he heals difficulties with occlusion and overall bite function. This system analyzes the jaw muscles to properly determine the next course of action.
